Effective “coaches” who understand the science of cycling will motivate your members and maximize the success of your group cycling program.

Since the inaugurallaunch of group cyclingin 1995, it has undergone bothridicule and praise. Group cycling has been praised as a fun and safe activity, yet it has been ridiculed due to the sometimes inappropriate use of the bikes.

Class members riding without seats, using hand weights and rubber bands, and using inappropriate intensities have brought negativeattention to group cycling.

If performed properly, however, and if catered to its participants, group cycling has many benefits.
